Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 36g Clears Heat and relieves Fire toxicity.
Rx. Arnebiae/Lithospermi Zi Cao 6g Clears Damp-Heat from the skin and aids the healing of tissues.
Sanguis Draconis Xue Jie 12g Protects the surface of ulcers, prevents decay and generates flesh.
Calomelas Qing Fen 12g Resolves toxicity, promotes the healing of sores and kills parasites.
With Xue Jie, Dang Gui and Zi Cao, with beeswax and sesame oil, as an ointment to generate flesh over non-healing ulcers.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
HERB/DRUG INTERACTIONS
  • Steep the first four ingredients in the sesame oil for three days. Then boil the oil over low heat until the herbs turn brown. Filter and discard the dregs. Add the beeswax, Xue Jie and Qing Fen to the oil, then reheat if necessary to dissolve the beeswax. Stir thoroughly and pour into an amber glass jar. Allow to congeal. Apply liberally to the affected area with a sterile cotton swab once daily.
